MMA mixed ability (Tuesday 18:00-19:00)

Class description

MMA is a combat sport that combines several martial arts including but not exclusively; wrestling, boxing, Thai-boxing, kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Judo. The class focuses on learning techniques and drills that can be applied in sparring or in a fight. As the class is open to all abilities the emphasis is on transitions between the different aspects of MMA and combining all three into one. The class does not involve any sparring but does involve some light contact and non competitive drilling. The class is also great for self defence.

Class objectives

  1. Learn new techniques
  2. Learn to transition between aspects of MMA

  • Gum shield
  • Box/cup/groin guard
  • 10-16oz gloves
  • Hand wraps
  • Shin guards
  • MMA sparring gloves
